Phone Vibration Test
Tap a pattern and feel your phone buzz. If nothing happens, the motor or a setting may be the problem.
How to Use the Phone Vibration Test
This vibration test uses the browser's Vibration API to drive your phone's motor with different patterns. It works in Chrome and most browsers on Android. iPhones do not allow websites to vibrate. For controllers, use the controller vibration test.
- Open on an Android phone. In Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet or Firefox.
- Turn on vibration. Check that the phone is not in a mode that blocks it.
- Tap a pattern. Feel the motor.
- Try a custom length. Up to 5 seconds.
Phone Not Vibrating?
- Turn off battery saver and Do Not Disturb.
- Check Settings › Sound & vibration › Vibration intensity.
- Restart the phone.
- A weak buzz or rattling noise points to a failing motor.
Why Doesn't It Work on iPhone?
Apple does not let websites use the vibration motor. That is a browser limit, not a fault in your phone. Check it in Settings › Sounds & Haptics instead.
