Controller Vibration Test
Press a rumble button and feel the controller shake. Light uses the small motor, strong uses the big one.
How to Use the Controller Vibration Test
Most controllers have two rumble motors: a heavy one on the left for deep rumble and a light one on the right for fine buzzing. Xbox One and Series controllers also have small motors in the triggers. This test runs each one for about a second so you can tell if one is weak or dead.
- Use Chrome or Edge. They support controller vibration best.
- Connect and press a button. The controller must be detected first.
- Press Light, Strong and Dual. Feel each side.
- Try Trigger rumble. On Xbox One/Series only.

No Vibration?

- A rattling sound with no shaking means a loose motor weight.
