PS5 Controller Tester

Connect your PS5 Controller (DualSense) and press any button. The diagram shows the PS5 button labels, both sticks and both triggers live.

How to Use the PS5 Controller Tester

This PS5 controller tester is our gamepad tester with PS5 button labels. The DualSense uses the PlayStation layout: ✕ ○ □ △, L1/R1, analog L2/R2, Create and Options. Connect it with a USB-C cable, or pair it over Bluetooth by holding Create + PS until the light bar flashes. Then press every button, circle both sticks and run the stick drift measurement.

  1. Connect the controller. USB or Bluetooth.
  2. Press any button. The browser needs this to show it.
  3. Test every part. Buttons, sticks, triggers and rumble.
  4. Measure drift. Hands off for 5 seconds.

How to Connect a PS5 Controller (DualSense)

  • Bluetooth: pair the controller in your system settings, then press a button.
  • Browsers only show a controller after you press a button. This is a privacy rule.

Fixing Stick Drift

  • Run the drift measurement and set the suggested dead zone in your game.
  • Clean around the stick with isopropyl alcohol, moving it in circles.
  • Update the controller firmware.
  • If drift is over 0.15 at rest, the stick module is likely worn and needs repair or replacement.
