How We Measure

Polling rate: we unpack coalesced pointer events (or pointerrawupdate in precise mode) and use the median gap between samples. We only show a number while movement is continuous.

Click gaps: high-resolution timestamps from release to the next press. Gaps under 50 ms are flagged as suspected chatter, and 50–80 ms is a gray zone.

DPI: pointer-locked movement counts divided by a known physical distance, with the median and spread across passes.

Latency: time from the input event to the next drawn frame. This is the browser part of latency only.

Browser tests are estimates of what the browser exposes, not hardware lab measurements.
