Touch Screen Test
Draw all over the screen with your finger. Gaps in your lines show dead spots.
Draw with your fingers. Cover every part of the screen.
How to Use the Touch Screen Test
This touch screen test turns the page into a drawing board. Every finger gets its own colour, and the counters show how many touches are active. Draw a grid over the whole screen in full screen mode to find areas that don't respond.
- Go full screen. So every edge can be tested.
- Draw lines. Edge to edge, across and down.
- Look for gaps. A broken line is a dead zone.
- Reset and repeat. Try with several fingers.
Find Dead Zones
Draw lines across the whole screen, edge to edge, in a grid. Any gap in a line is a dead zone where the screen does not register touch.
Ghost Touches
If lines appear when you are not touching, or the touch count goes up on its own, you have ghost touches. Clean the screen, remove the screen protector and test again. Persistent ghost touch is often a hardware fault.
Tips
- Remove the case if it presses on the screen edges.
- Charge with the original charger, because a bad charger can cause erratic touch.
- Restart the device and install system updates.
