Refresh Rate Test
Is your 144 Hz monitor actually running at 144 Hz? Open this page and read the number.
How to Use the Refresh Rate Test
This refresh rate test times every frame your browser draws and works out your screen's real refresh rate. Many people buy a 144 Hz or 240 Hz monitor and never notice it is still set to 60 Hz. The moving block makes smoothness easy to see, and the counters show dropped frames and frame jitter.
- Open the page full size. Close other heavy tabs.
- Wait 3 seconds. The reading settles quickly.
- Check the nearest standard. It should match your monitor.
- Watch the block. It should glide without jumps.
