Multi-Touch Test
Put all your fingers on the screen. Each one gets a numbered ring. The counter shows the most at once.
Draw with your fingers. Cover every part of the screen.
How to Use the Multi-Touch Test
Most phones track 5 or 10 touches at once. This multi-touch test counts the touches your screen reports and shows each one as a coloured, numbered ring. Compare it with the number your device says it supports.
- Open the page on your device. Phone, tablet or touch laptop.
- Place fingers one by one. Watch the counter go up.
- Move them around. Each finger draws its own colour.
- Check the maximum. It should match the device spec.
Find Dead Zones
Draw lines across the whole screen, edge to edge, in a grid. Any gap in a line is a dead zone where the screen does not register touch.
Ghost Touches
If lines appear when you are not touching, or the touch count goes up on its own, you have ghost touches. Clean the screen, remove the screen protector and test again. Persistent ghost touch is often a hardware fault.
