How to Use the Stuck Pixel Fixer
A stuck pixel is often a sub-pixel that is jammed on. Flashing it quickly between colours can sometimes get it working again. This tool shows a small square of rapidly changing RGB noise that you drag over the bad pixel. It can't repair a truly dead pixel, but it is free and safe to try.
- Find the pixel. Use the dead pixel test to locate it.
- Tick the warning. The tool flashes very fast.
- Drag the square onto it. Start fixing, then move it over the pixel.
- Wait. Leave it 10–30 minutes. Look away while it runs.
Does It Really Work?
Sometimes. Results vary from panel to panel. Stuck pixels that appeared recently have the best chance. If nothing changes after a few hours in total, the pixel is likely permanently damaged.
Other Methods
- Gentle pressure: with the screen off, press lightly through a soft cloth on the spot, then turn it on. Too much pressure causes more damage.
- Warranty: if it stays stuck, contact the maker.
Safety Warning
This tool flashes rapidly. Do not use it if you have photosensitive epilepsy, and do not stare at it while it runs.
