Methodology
How we measure
Every AllMouseTester score is produced in your browser from standard web APIs. Here is what that means — and what it does not.
Pointer, CPS and buttons
Click counts use pointerdown/mousedown events. Double-click windows follow the browser’s timing unless a tool exposes a slider. Chatter detection looks at inter-click gaps; it cannot see firmware debounce inside the mouse.
Polling rate & latency
We timestamp coalesced and raw pointer events and derive Hz and movement latency estimates. Browsers, USB stacks and display VSync all clamp the ceiling. Treat in-page Hz as a comparative browser measurement, not a replacement for a hardware USB analyser.
نقطة لكل بوصة
DPI/CPI checks need a known physical travel (card or ruler). Sensor angle, surface and OS acceleration (if left on) skew results — we recommend turning enhancement off for the test.
Audio & camera
Mic and webcam tools use getUserMedia. Meters show what the OS delivers after its own AGC/echo pipeline. We do not upload buffers.
يد التحكم
The Gamepad API reports axes and buttons; drift tests sample stick rest positions. Circularity and calibration quality vary by browser permission and controller firmware.
Reproducibility
Record browser, OS and tool URL with any score you publish. Re-run three times and prefer the median. See also About و الاتصال.
